Hi,

The America Flanagan mentioned in the 1850 census you quoted is definitely not Amanda Flanagan who married Jacob Roy.

Jacob Roy & Amanda "Bonner" Flanagan are my gr-gr-grandparents. Amanda Flanagan is the daughter of Hannah Susannah Bonner, her marriage record indicates she is also the daughter of Ebenezer Flanagan, however, Amanda was born several years before Ebenezer and Hannah married. That's why I have her in my files as Amanda "Bonner" Flanagan.

The America Flanagan mentioned in the 1850 census you quoted is likely America Carr (dau of Abner Carr & Elizabeth "Bettie" White. She married Robert Flanagan 27 Aug 1849 Randolph. Marriage record indicates Marian Carr & Robert Flanagan, by Joseph Roy, all census records show her first name as America.

Thank you for the information on Edith Flanagan, I didn't have her connected as a dau of William Flanagan before this, although I do have her listed and her marriage to William Bonner in 1850.

These families seem very close knit and it gets confusing trying to sort them out. I was wondering if you had any information as to when Anna Park-Flanagan died, all I have is maybe somewhere between 1840 and 1850.

Thanks,
Cathy
