John Triplett (1778-1869)

I am looking for information on my ancestor John Triplett's parents. He was born in Baltimore, MD in 1778. He was among the first settlers in Beverly, Randolph County, West Virginia and was a prominent member there. It is told that his ancestors came from England and were among the settlers of Jamestown - but I cannot find his parents in order to provide the needed link in the chain. Does anyone have any information or leads for me???? Any help would be appreciated. Haylee Pemberton
