Thank Nancy but my mother has the Fortney Book and he is not listed in the book also I was in touch with and they have no information on him. I did find that his father was Jacob Henry Fortney born in 1843 died in 1915. His mother was Jeannet (Conley) Fortney . His grandparents were John V Fortney and Elizabeth (Weaver) Fortney. His grandparents and his father are buried in the Sapp-Weaver Cemetery which is on my mothers land. His mother Jeannet Conley Fortney is buried in the Beverly Hills Cemetery in morgantown (she died in 1946. He Carney had the following brothers and sisters John Franklin Fortney, Ethel Fortney Haymond, Lou Fortney, Guy Fortney, Gaye (who was killed on the railroad tracks in Independence and is buried in the Sapp-Weaver Cemeterry), Orion and Carney of course. No more information then what was previous stated.
