You'll be sorry you asked as I don't know and all I can do is add another layer of confusion.
The nearest record I have is John Friend married LYDIA Collins, Mar 11 1843 in Allegany County, Maryland. IS this the same John? Probably not but it could be. Is Lydia the sister of Mary A? Again most likely not, but it's possible as often when a spouse died the survivor married a sibling. Sorry to muddy the genealogical waters.
