1st, I do hope you have requested Civil War records, especially the pension records, they usually have a wealth of information.

Hey is a German name, High is not, I suspect the correct name is Hey.
In my records, with no source listed, I have:

Henry Hey, Born 1829 Prussia
Wife Catherine, born 1831 Maryland

four children:
William, born 1849 Maryland
Augusta, born 1852 Maryland
Mary, born 1857 (West) Virginia
Caroline, born 2 Jul 1858, Preston County, (West) Virginia

Caroline married Frank Cross on 23 Se 1875 in Preston County.

No death or Burial Information.
