The Cemetary at Rodamer
Posted by: Mary Densmore (ID *****4837) Date: March 08, 2007 at 18:27:10

Can anyone give me some information on the cemetary at Rodamer?

I saw it mentioned as "The Irish at Rodamer" - would this be a Catholic cemetary? I noticed that it is listed as one of the cemetaries under the jurisdiction of St. Sebastian's Catholic Church.

My Great-Grandfather, George Patrick Hershline King was buried there. My mother said she remembered taking a train and that it stopped along the tracks and that they carried his casket up over a hill. She was very young and did not recall many details.

Is it difficult to access? Any info greatly appreciated!
