G.L Dahmer was born 17 February 1900 at Pendleton county, the son of Joel M. and Martha Dahmer. The birth record is here:

A second birth record gives his birth date as 18 February 1900, his name as Gilbert Loss Dahmer, and his parents as Joel M. Dahmer and Elizabeth Harper. That record is here:

The 1900 census of Pendleton county, West Virginia, gives his name as Losten Dahmer, and his parents Joel M. and Martha E. Dahmer:
