In the book, History of Pendleton County West Virginia by Oren Morton, there is a Clay Simmons. His father was George F. who married Abigal Phares. Clay's children were Luther, Arley, Ethel, Isa, and Ralph. Clay married Effie M. Fox. The only date I can give you is George's birth year which was 1851. Do you have any dates which would make it easier to locate the specific Clay Simmons you are trying to find? There are several pages of Simmons listed.
