Carl W. Ingram

Carl W. Ingram, 86, of Prosperity, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 17, 2006 at Newberry County Hospital, Newberry, SC.

Born in Fremont, Dickenson County, Virginia, Carl was the son of the late Corbin Ingram and Cozy Clark Ingram. He and his family held several positions in Ritter Lumber Company, which later became Georgia-Pacific Corp. He was Area Manager in several different states including Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee, retiring after 40 years.

Survivors include his wife, Virgie Whitt-Ingram; daughters, Loretta Triplett, Thelma and Edward Sexton, and Kathy and Hugh Daugherty; a sister, Cora Vanover; brothers, Earl Ingram, Andy Ingram and wife, Hilda, Herbert Ingram and wife, Clara Mae, Paul Ingram and wife, Willa; eight grandchildren, Robert, Janet, Teresa and Steve Young, Rick Triplett, Corbin and Karen Sexton, Thomas and Jacqueline Sexton, Carla and Allan Moore, and Jennifer and Nathaniel Birochak; seventeen great-grandchildren, Aaron Triplett, Nicole Liffick, Sarah Cecil, Riki Keeton, Katie Brawner, Michael and Christy Young, Jason, Lindsay, Jonathan and Edward Sexton, Anna Teseniar, Patrick Amick, Stephanie, David and William Moore, Ezekiel Birochak. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Adie and Corbin “Junior” Ingram; a grandson, Thomas Carl Triplett, and a son-in-law, Herbert Clark Triplett.

Services will be 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 20, 2006, at Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville, TN with burial to follow in Reed Cemetery, Helenwood, TN. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until the hour of service.
