Looking for James M. Moore b. abt 1820 also lived Braxton Co This James Moore m. 1st ? 2nd Margaret??? maybe Jones 3rd Nancy (possibly Nancy Hoover - dau of John Hoover/Sarah Likens???)
CHILDREN: Samuel b. 1850, -- Turpin W. "Turp" b. 1851 (believe Turp married Rachel Nutter CHILDREN: Cornelius J.b. 1874 Caleb b. 1876, Madison b. 1879, -- John b. 1857, -- Fanny b. 1860, -- Nancy b. 1861, -- Ellen b. 1867 - believe she married a "Ward" (possibly James Ward), --- Alexander Ashby b. 1869 m. Stella Boggess from Sissonville WV. Some relationship to "Caleb Jones" don't know if 1st wife or 2nd wife (Ellen and Alexander's mother) Family story - James M. Moore sent to (I believe) Rock Island Prison during Civil War for being Southern Sympathizer - not enlisted. While there ---wife and some children died of some epidemic - which he also had in prison but survived. Also said that when Alexander A. was 13 he ran away (?) to live with his uncle (a Jones??) in Gassaway. Any help appreciated.
