Hall-Derieux Families of Monroe County

My ggggrandfather, Joshua Hall, m. Mariah Agness Derieux on 11/21/1837 in Monroe Co. I cannot find Joshua or Mariah's parents or siblings. I have found a William Derieux m. Ellenor (Eleanor) Derieux in 1828, & a son, William P.H. Derieux m. Virginia E. Green Pegram 10/24/1856 (William believed to have been a tailor in Union). Ellenor d/o Benjamin Morgan & Ann Ellis. I have also found reference to a Lewis Derrieux who served in the Civil War. I have the names of the first Derieux family to come from France in 1784 & believe Mariah is d/o Henry Thomas Jefferson Derieux who married Sarah (Sally Taylor) in Monroe Co. in 1817, Francois Nicholas Louis Derieux or Peter Justin Derieux. Believe Peter m. Sarah Nickell, d/o John "Gap" Nickell if my facts are straight. I have also seen Francis Derieux & Peter Derieux in Morten's "History of Monroe County". Joshua Hall owned land up on the Knobs which he gave to 2 sons, Lewis Caperton Hall and Charles Matthew Hall. Help! This is all I have & it's hard to do research from NC. I'd appreciate ANY information at all.
