C.R. Mitchell, age 22, and Ethel Chambers, age 16, were married in Boone County, West Virginia on March 24, 1898. That record is here:

C.R. Mitchell was born 26 August 1874 to Joseph Mitchell and wife Roxanna at Mud River, Boone County, West Virginia. That record is here:

A conflict: In the 1900 census, Charles Mitchell reported that he was born in January 1875.

Ethel Chambers was born 13 December 1883 to F.B. Chambers and wife Josephine in Boone County. That record is here:

F.B. Chambers, age 24, and Josephine Tawny, age 16, were married 16 December 1882. He was the son of Sylvester and E. Chambers. She was the daughter of David and C. Tawnie. That record is here:

Josephine Chambers, age 41, died 15 August 1909 at Danville, Boone County, WV. The record is here:

Census records for 1870 show a Frederick B. Chambers, age 12, born in Virginia, living in Scott, Boone, West Virginia with his parents Sylvester and Elizabeth Chambers.

Census records for 1870 again show Josephine Toney, age 2, born in West Virginia, living with her parents David and Cynthia Toney in Union, Lincoln County, West Virginia.
