Francis Meadows (1754-1836); Rev. War; captured at ???? Tower

Francis Meadows (c.1754-1836) of Virginia stated in an August 20, 1822 sworn application in Monroe County, VA, that he "served until he was taken prisoner by the British at (----) Tower in the state of South Carolina."

Does anyone have a copy of this that shows what the missing, or unclear, word is - what was the name of the Tower where he was captured? Could it have been Maham Tower?

Thanks for any help.
Arley Meadows
