I don't have this particular couple in my base, however I do have these families in Monroe Co., and I'm a Thompson descendant. My Gr grandfather a grandson of Polly (Thompson) Riner was born during the Civil War in Indiana and all his older siblings were born in Monroe Co. and younger ones were born in Fayette Co., West Virginia. Perhaps they stayed with Thompson relatives during the Civil War?
