JAMES SMITH REV. WAR SOLDIER
Posted by: Norma Frank (ID *****5068) Date: July 14, 2003 at 09:23:41

If anyone has information about James Smith who married Cassandra Tucker in Frederick County, Maryland in the late 1700s and then moved with his family to---from The History of Monroe County-- "the mounth of the Wolfe" I would greatly appreciate it

He fought in the Rev. War in the Carolinas but I have been unable to get his pension file. He was to have received a pension around 1818.

Some believe he went to Adams County, Ohio. I am unsure. I have a file for a James Smith that died and was buried in Monroe County but no mention of wife's name so can't be possitive it is he. Any help on this family appreciated. Glad to share what I have.
