I am searching for information regarding these people, their ancestors and descendants.

Who were the parents of James Dunn? Was he born in 1799? If so, where?

He married Nancy Robinson, daughter of John Robinson and Elizabeth Benson, on February 24, 1824 in Monroe County, Virginia. Monroe County is in that part of Virginia which became West Virginia during the War Between the States.

The children of James Dunn and Nancy Robinson included the follwing:

1. James P. Dunn 1826
2. John F. Dunn 1829
3. Lewis B. Dunn 1834
4. Harrison L. Dunn 1837
5. Nancy Dunn 1839
6. Gaston Dunn 1841

Any information you could provide about these people would be greatly appreciated.

Do you think that this James Dunn could be the son of John that you mention. Perhaps the James who went to Missouri was the first son James P. Dunn who was ostensibly born in 1826.
