Just read the "Boyd" postings. James, while you are searching for your James, how about keeping an eye out for my James-- my great grandfather who acording to census reports was born in Va ca 1795. None of us several decendants who have been searching for years have been able to learn his parents, or siblings. Rumors are he might have been born in Russell Co., Va.. No trace. It also seems two of his sons, Greenville and Hugh were born in Tazewell Co.. No trace. We keep looking at Monroe Co. My great grand mother, his last wife was Sarah Pack, daughter of Samuel Pack. Records seem to indicate that Samuel and Sarah's mother lived in Monroe Co. prior to moving to Lawrence Co., Ky. James and Sarah raised a large family in Ulyssis, Lawrence Co., Ky., including a son Edward, who married Alice Miller and were the parents of my father, Scott Boyd.

Ole' gr grand dad has been one tough dude to trace. Would deeply appreciate any info. anyone can contribute. Always glad to hear from Boyds, Millers, Packs, or others.
