SEARCHING FOR SHANKLIN FAMILY FROM 1870'S PROX. CONTAINING ALMEDA, ALMYRA (ALMIRA) AND WILLIAM SHANKLIN.. ALSO INTERESTED IN SHANKLINS IN GENERAL AND HOW LONG THEY WERE IN THE COUNTY AND HOW MOST OF THEM MADE A LIVING.. WOULD A FARM OF THE AREA HAVE BEEN CALLED A PLANTATION? MY SHANKLINS MARRIED INTO THE PEARSON AND MC CURRY FAMILYS AND MOVED TO OREGON JUST BEFORE THE CIVIL WAR.
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH...
