In Monroe County, there was an Andrew Burns (b.~1813 in Monroe), son of William Burns(b.1786 MD) and Mary Burns(nee Myers b. 1790 VA and m. 1812), who married Mary Ann Booker. The family was there for several decades. Perhaps there is some connection?? I hope this helps.
