I have been researching my 5th great grandfather, George Thornton, who died in Mason County in 1807. Recently I have become aware of a book by Allen G. Thomas entitled Thomas, Yauger, Thornton and Fowler history of Mason County, W.V.
Does anyone have access to this volume? It is listed in the collection of West Virginia University Libraries.
I'm not sure of the dates covered by the author, but I am hopeful that the book will shed a little light on my family history in Mason County.
