Looking on another site, the majority of people on it have his death place listed as Taylor, Orange, Virginia.

I have been searching in every way possible and can't find any documentation about his death. Hopefully records didn't burn up in a courthouse or something.

This PM, did stumble across a couple interesting things about Robert's wife, Nancy Jane.
1. Found a 1840 census for a John Jacobs who I believe to be Nancy Jane's husband. It shows that John & Nancy Jane had a child under 5 yrs old. The child was not with nancy Jane when she married John. my guess is they both passed away but cannot find any records for John or the child except for the 1840 census.

2. In the Mon. County section of this forum, back in 2000 a Roy Lockard (spell?) tells of a court case which mentions a John Jacobs and other members of the Jacobs family. I don't know if it is the same John because he would have only been 2 yrs old.

Thanks for all your help. Robert is a tough one trying to track down.
