Dear Alice,
Yes, I would be happy to exchange information.Claude Waitman Drennen was my Grandfather. He married Clara Elizabeth Frances Ledsome. I don't remember him but she lived with us for a while when I was in grade school many years ago.I have Racheal and John's parents and their children. Some of our names vary however, eg: Your Edna May on our record is Edith Parks. One of Claude's sisters was referred to on the census report as Maggie and I wondered if her name might be Margaret.I'm excited to have found someone related to the family. Most of my work has been done off government reports or documents. I also like to include dates.Just before my (husband) Ron's surgery I spent an entire day searching vital records in Parkersburg. He knew I had wanted to make the trip down so insisted we get it done.I never made it to the fourth floor marriage records. That day works on birth and death records.Ron is also interested in doing genealogy. Now that he is better I am planing trips to Parkersburg and Elizabeth for my Dad's family as well as Washington Courthouse and Columbus in Ohio for my Mom and Ron's family. I want to find information on my Dad's older brother Elmer.I don't recall ever hearing his name mentioned in the family, but he is on family records. Also did you know, one of Claude,s childrern, Clarence has his name on a monument at the big park in Parkersburg. I used to go there all the time as a child and never noticed till one day my grand daughter Jillian and I were feeding the ducks. Its located near what used to be the large lily pond.Clarance and a few others were involved in the war.My Dad used to love to tell war stories.Do you live near Parkersburg or in West Virginia? We live on a farm north of Columbus Ohio.
Pam
