Recently, my mother past on and it was her dieing wish to be buried with her mother. This is what has put me on the trail to find just were she may be buried.
I have very little information to go on but will share what I do know in the hopes of finding someone here who might be able to make a connection.
Just before she died she told of having a brother named Thomas Herald. His age place of residence and all the things to help you find him are not known. Just that he was in the Air Force sometime during WWII.
My mother said that she remembered being about 16 when my grandfather was involved in and accident that took his life. This was to have happened in some place in Oklahoma as best as I can figure, sometime around the year 1949.
My grandfathers name appears on the birth certificate of my mothers which shows my mother having been borne in Mobley,Wetzel,West Virginia in the year 1933.
Her name is Victoria Barbara Jean Herald and her Fathers name was Barney Herald. Her mothers name was Rosetta Mercer Herald. Mercer is her maiden name.
My mother said she remembered that her mother was about 42 when she died. She was unable tell anything else about when, were, how, and all that to help us locate them.
The family as best as can be figured was with a Group or religious folks in Oklahoma trying to raise some money when my mother was about 16.
She married my Father (who is now deceased) at the age of 18 in the year 1951 in Sweetwater TX. A year later I was born.
if anyone can provide some information to help me in my search I would be very grateful.
