Location of Chunk's Run?

Hi Dan, There is a Chunk's Run ---- I spent many days visiting my g-grandparents and aunt, uncles and cousins when I was growing up. Those were some enjoyable days. We used to call it Chunk's Run Holler --- it isn't a town, it's just a creek along which some farms were located. It's located north of Rivesville --- take the Rivesville-Baxter road and in Baxter you would take the McCurdysville Pike. Keep on the Pike till you get to Hoodsville --- just after you drive thru Hoodsville you will want to keep you eye peeled for a dirt road which intersects with McCurdysville Pike. There used to be a sign that said Chunk's Run ---I don't know if it's still there. I don't ever recall seeing a Floyd cemetery in the holler, but I know there are some Floyds buried in the McCurdysville cemetery, which is only a short distance from the cutoff to Chunk's Run ----- off of the Pike. Many of my relatives are buried there. You will find a list of those persons buried in the McCurdysville cemetery by typing McCurdysville in your search engine - I use YAHOO. If I can help you in any other way, let me know. I used to know a Arlen Floyd when we were growing up around there. --------I lived in Grant Town.
