Looking for the Jerin Family in West Virginia 1910
Naturalization papers were not started until 1906. Isn't there a rule about how long a person could be in the country before being Naturalized? I thought it was 7 years. Anyway, the Jerin's got here in 1904 and the Koteles' got here in 1905.
I have Declaration of Intention papers for a Frank Jerin. He was 24 yrs old, arrived in Boston, MA Sept 12, 1903. Not sure if he is in our lines or not. My Joseph Jerin was in West Virginia in 1910 and this Frank Jerin says he resides in Colliers, West Virginia again 1903.
The paper indicates the his last foreign residence was Courcelles, Belgium. I believe in checking records at the LDS family history library the information was Belgium - Hainaut - Courcelles.
This is probably good information for me, but I am not sure where to go from here. I think I am afraid to jump in the ocean and swim over there. LOL. Hope you understand.
Thanks, Pam
