Hello,
I am having no luck finding information on my father's side of the family. This is what I have found thus far:
Wade Hampton Taylor married Maggie Mills 15 Sept 1895. They had 9 children: Herbert, Andrew, Willie, Charley, Everett, Wade, Phizer, Walter and Cora Taylor. Wade Hampton Taylor died 8 May 1912 and Maggie Mills Taylor died 4 Dec 1952.
Herbert D. Taylor married Mexie Taylor (adopted last name). Herbert was born 28 Sept 1896 in Mercer County, WV. Mexie was born 26 Aug 1899 and died 17 March 1972 in Mercer County, WV. They had the following children: Arthur, Ruth, Gilbert Hampton, Helen and Fitzhugh.
Gilbert Hampton Taylor and Ruby Faye Lilly of Raleigh County, WV. Gilbert was born 13 Sept 1917 and died 20 March 1950 in Princeton, WV. Ruby was born 6 Dec 1914 in Sylvia, WV and died 13 June 1988 in Huntington, WV. They had 2 children: Shirley Ann and Wayne Gilbert - my father.
If anyone has any info on this elusive family, I would greatly appreciate it.
