My great-grandfather's name was Everett Bert Barnes. I've found him listed as also Albert Everett Barnes (which was actually his son who did not survive childhood) and Everet Burnes Barnes. He was married to Lizzie Mitchell, Daughter of William Harvey & Sarah "Sallie" (Beavers) Mitchell. From what I can garner, He was born 14 March 1897 and died in January 1937. Family history states that this was in a (non-collapsing incident) coal mining accident in the town of War or Cucumber in McDowell County West Virginia. His parents were John Barnes & Lizzie Creed, his siblings were Creed, John, Myrtle, Molly, Ida, Pearl, & Mae. If you have any information regarding their predecessors, DOB/DOD, or are a relation, please let me know. This is the only dead end I've found in my search. Thanks!
