Jennie Pierson was born 22 August 1887 in Cologne District, Mason County, WV to John Jackson Pierson and Rachel Yauger. In 1909 she was unmarried and the mother of a daughter whom I belive to be the Leota Pierson age 6 (ca 1904) living with the William Montgomery family in 1910 as adopted. She is not with them in 1910. I've been looking for Jennie and her daughter for a number of years and just haven't had any luck. Does anyone know anything about them or have a hint? All the documents I have indicate that Leota was illegitimate but if someone knows her father, that might help me track them down.
