I’m interested in hearing from descendants of the Mackey family who lived in Marshall Co., Va. (later W.Va., and originally part of Ohio Co., Va.) . Elias’ branch later lived in Aleppo and Springhill Twps., Greene Co., Pa.

I have more detail, as well as information sources, on many of these descendants of John and Elizabeth that I’d be happy to share, and would welcome discussion with other descendants whom I haven’t already been in touch with.

John W. Mackey (d. after 1842) married ___ Hicks.

Samuel Mackey (b. 1824-26 – d. 1901) married Eva Ann Strait (b. 1835). Children who lived to adulthood: Theodore T., George W., James R.

Mary A. Mackey (b. about 1831), no record of marriage, but had two children: Franklin and Elizabeth

Joseph Mackey (1832-1891) married Elizabeth Mathews (1837-1925). Children: John H., Andrew J., Frank Lee, Joseph
