Looking for any information on John S. Hershberger who was a brewer and owner of an eating house in Fairmont, WV, during the 1860s. He was born abt. 1815 in Wuerttemburg, Germany. His wife Mary was born in MD or PA.

Their eldest son was John Sebastian Hershberger (1840-1925) born near Cumberland, Allegany County, MD. He married Mary Rogers (1839-1913) who was born in Wales, British Isles. They lived in Palatine, WV, and Elk Garden (Mineral County), WV. They are buried in Philos Cemetery in Westernport, Allegany County, MD. John was a 1st Sgt. in the WV 6th Cavalry (USA) during the Civil War.

Willing to share any information that I have.

Melinda
