I am the grandson of Myrtle Carper. She was born in Griffithsville WV. Her parents were John Carper and Elizabeth McClure. She married John Columbus Deaton and moved to Troy, Montgomery County, NC. I do not know what tiime period though. My dad was James Paul Deaton and I do remember us visiting relatives up in WV. Myrtle had brothers named Paul and Homer I think. She also had a sister named Edith. Any help in finding info on these folks would be greatly appreciated.
