My understanding is that all of the 1890 census records for the United States were burned and are lost. You had better try the 1900 census.

My records show that Harry Boothe (born in Cabell Co., WV), age 21, married Gurney Ashworth (born in Lincoln Co., WV), age 18, in Lincoln Co., WV on November 23, 1909.

I found no reference to a Vernie Ashworth in the above book.
