It's said a George Glaze & brother John Glaze are indexed on the 1790 Hampshire Co.,(W.)Va. Militia Roll. As the 1790 & 1800 Hampshire Co.,Va. censuses no longer exsist, can someone verify this? Tax & deed records of these Glazes in Hampshire Co.,(W.Va.). A Pvt.John (Glase/Glaze)is indexed under Capt.Michael Cresap Sr.(Dunmore's War 1775). Per the Virginia State Library,Pvt.John (Glaze) received pay,40 days,Pittsburg Patrolls. Suspect this to be the same John Glaze found indexed in Deakin's Survey 1788 Maryland. It appears this same John Glaze removed to Wood Co.,(W.Va.) with descendants of Michael Cresap Sr. Also John Glaze found in Public Service Claims,1775 Romney-Winchester,as well as Earhart Glaze, wife Eve. Believe Hampshire County was later formed from Romney- Winchester. Can someone help?
