Dear Gwen,

Since I posted my inquiry I have written Brooke County Clerk at Wellsburg, WV and to my delight Ms. Benzo sent me much info including the guardianship papers for my grandmother Adine Moore. Adine Moore's oldest sister Stella Moore (Mrs. Chester Russell Hubbard) was one of her guardians.

I also found on the Internet a short bio of Dr. Eli Herdman Moore at:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvwags/bioemo.txt

I definitely will check on pg 327 of the book History of the Pan Handle West Virginia to see if it is the same as the above mentioned webpage I mentioned.

I cannot resist asking you a question. I notice your last name is Hubbard. My grandmother's oldest sister was Stella Moore who married Chester Russell Hubbard. They had Stella who married Dr. W. A. Craycraft,Jr; Anne who married Morgan Heiskell; Helen who married Sam A. Williams; and Llda who married J. Malcolm Belcher. By any chance are you (or husband?) related to the Chester Russell Hubbard family?

My ultimate reason for searching info on my grandmother Miss Adine (nickname Goldie)Moore (married name Mrs. Frank Bosworth) is to find her marriage record...where was she married. Neither Brooke Co nor Ohio Co has her marriage record which would have been about 1897.

Again, thank you for all your information and help. I shall follow up.

Sincerely, Adine from California
