Hello Millie'
Thank you for the great information. It will help to fill in a few blanks. I have been researching Norman Keener and ancestors about 2 years. Norman was my wife's grandfather, her father was Lacy Norman Keener. We had only a name and birth date on Norman Keener. The information we have now follows:

Norman Hazel Keener

Born in Braxton County West Virginia 6 October 1892.
Father Nathaniel Price Keener.
Mother Liddie Francis Hardway born 5 September 1860 in Braxton Co.West Virginia, her mother Elizabeth Jane Falkner, father Peter Hardway killed 9 May 1864 at Cloyd’s Mountain, fighting for the Confederacy.
1900 Census Braxton County West Virginia Norman Living with Mother and stepfather.

He had 1 child by June 1917.
World War I draft Registration 5 June 1917, Norman living in Marion County West Virginia,

He was med height, med weight, blue eyes, and brown hair.

Norman and Sadie had at least 5 children, the first born in Ohio 1915, 3 born in West Virginia, and the youngest born in Pennsylvania 1924.
Sadie died after 1924 and before 1930, likely 1928 or 1929 in Braxton, Marion or Monongalia County, maybe in Tennessee.
Norman Keener married Pearl Jane Smith before 1930 probably in Claiborne Co. Tennessee.
1930 Census, June, for Claiborne county list Norman Keener, wife Pearl, with his daughters Olive, Juniata, Aleta, Eva, and son Esker L.
Norman Keener goes out to cut wood or fetch water, 2 stories, and never returns.
Son Lacy Keener is born 6 August 1930.
Norman Keener, World War II draft registration, Strange Creek, Braxton County, West Virginia.
Norman Keener died 22 May 1951, Monongalia County West Virginia, suicide by firing shotgun into head. Buried Mt. Zion cemetery near Masontown, Monongalia Co. West Virginia

I am searching for more on Nathaniel P. Keener, death, burial, and his wife.

Thank you for your help,
Elmer Swank Jr.
