Hi Bob, the way I understand the story from my Mother, is her Mother was asked to come to identify the body when it was dug up, she went, said it was him, and thats about all, my Mother feels if Grandma had to pay to rebury him,(she could not afford to) she would not have claimed the body, so he would be buried in the common grave.Did you also know he was in 3 different regiments, he left a small diary of his war experiences, where he was, who he was with, etc...sorry I cant help you more about where he is buried, I am also looking for the burial spot..Maire
