DOROTHY LUELLA WULF, 95, of Worthington, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, at Worthington Regional Hospital.
Born Dec. 10, 1911, in Humboldt, S.D., she was the daughter of William and Emma Miller Monroe. She married Albert Wulf Dec. 6, 1931. He preceded her in death.
She graduated from Sioux Valley High School in Sioux Valley. She attended nursing school in Rochester and worked there as a nurse for two years. After marriage, the couple farmed near Sioux Valley until 1955, when they retired and moved to Worthington. She made drapes for people, and Albert helped her hang them. She moved to Okabena Towers in 1990, then to Valley View Assisted Living in Lakefield in November 2006.
Surviving are three daughters, LaVonne (Lloyd) Hutzler, Lakefield, Lorraine (Melvin) Reimers, Sioux Valley, and Delores (Fred) Craig, Sierra Vista, Ariz.; a brother, Richard Monroe, Fairbanks, Alaska; a sister, Joyce (Chet) Simpsons, Bremerton, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Benson Funeral Home, Worthington, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Worthington.
The service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Robert Schulze officiating. Burial will be in Sioux Valley Cemetery.
