No, our Mary was the daughter of Major John Smith and Christiana Elkins. They, being John and wife, were from Virginia. John's father was an Anthony Smith, who signed a letter of consent for John to marry. I am unsure of the Thomas Wroe name, it could have been Rose, as it is spelled both ways in different documents. However, it is likely that your Thomas and mine were related if the last name is, in fact, Wroe. So, I will keep an eye out for Wroe info and see that happens. Thanks for your response, I found it very interesting - even if we didn't connect.
