The Tom Wroe who drowned must be an ancestor of mine, because my grandfather was Tom Wroe, who died in 1970 at about age 80 in Muskoka. I had thought his father was Joseph, but I have no records. My grandfather has a road named after him near Port Carling, Ontario, because he built all the cottages (some quite impressive) on Point Roberts on Lake Muskoka.

My grandfather had two daughters and a son (my father, Tom) by his first wife (Margaret Kaye), plus a son David by his second wife Yvonne. David maintains property in Muskoka; most of the rest of us are scattered. My father had two sons -- myself and Tom.

A good source of information on the Wroe's is the Kaye family (my grandmother), which is quite large in the Muskoka area. If you wish more detailed information on this branch of the family please contact me.
