Carl, on the ILL. State Online Marriage records database for Marion County ILL. was a Daniel Speaks/Speeks that married Rachel Risley on Sept 06, 1835, this may be the same Daniel that appeared on the same page of the 1830 Marion Co. ILL. census as Charles Walden/Waldon. Also listed in marriage records database was an Alfred Risley that married Lurana Frances Sept. 29. 1834 in Marion Co. ILL. I believe its possible that these Risley's of Marion Co. ILL. including Hiram and his brother John that married Catherine Waldon in Marion Co. may all have been children of Daniel Risley that was in Knox Co. Indiana on the 1820 census. I have located some of Hiram and John's children on the 1860 and 1870 census but not all, Hiram did have a son named Alfred that was living in Wayne Co. Mo. in 1860 with his widowed mother Louisa. Alfred and Lurana remain a mystery, there was an A.L. Risley on the 1840 ILL. census but I cannot prove that it is Alfred, other researchers claim that A.L. is an Asahel Risley.
Do you know if there are estate records on file for Charles Waldon ?
I will try and keep you informed as to any info that might help with your Waldon dilemma, I would appreciate you doing the same with my Risley's.

Pat
