Hi Richard

I think I might be able to help you. Jacob Paul Wrightstone was my paternal grandfather and Sarah was his sister. Their mother was Mary McQuate who I believe was the daughter of Jacob McQuate (born 1840?? West Cocalico Township?) and Mary McQuate (nee Lenker? born 1841? in Shippensburg, Cumberland County). I think Jacob was Joseph's brother, their parents were I believe Jacob McQuate (born 1810?) and Elizabeth McQuate (born 1812?). My apologies for all of the question marks but I've gotten this information from a school project my elder brother did back in about 1975 (when he was about 12). Our grandfather had done considerable research on his family tree back in the early 1970's and supplied my brother with the 'bits' he needed at the time. I do have more census data (albeit transcribed by my brother from my grandfather) as well as a photocopy of a page from the Silver Springs Township (Cumberland County) Census dated 1 June 1880 which shows Jacob and Mary McQuate and their family. I'd be happy to share any more information that I have with you or perhaps put you in touch with my relatives in Pennsylvania. I live in Perth, Western Australia (where my family migrated in 1971 when I was seven years old), so I don't really know my PA family very well at all but do have contact details if you're interested. Anyway, let me know if I can help you out any further. I can be contacted by email at ennahtebazile@hotmail.com. Hope this was of some use to you.

Regards
Liz Wrightstone
