Isham and Richard Wright of VA in the 1700's
I'm seeking information regarding the parents of Alice/Ally Wright, born 1788 in VA.
Ally married Doswell Holt about 1806 in what became Knox and later Whitley County in KY.They moved to Cumberland County, KY before 1820.I suspect Ally's father was Isham Wright, because she had a son Isham Rite/Right Holt.
They left Cumberland County in the 1850's and migrated to Carroll County, AR.
My reasoning for believing Ally's father is Isham, in addition to naming her eldest son Isham, is that her husband's father Drury Holt served with Isham Wright in Montgomery County, VA Militia.
