ASENATH WRIGHT b abt 1766 m Moses Woodburn

I am wondering if someone might be able to help me on a brick wall. According to the sources I found (Kentucky Pioneer And Court Records: Abstracts of Early Wills, Deeds...) states that R. J. Jenks m. Asenath Woodburn, daughter of Moses Woodburn and Asenath Wright. Pioneer & Patriot Families of Bradford County PA 1800-1825
Vol. II - Clement F. Heverly states that Asenath Wright is daughter of Edward Wright and Cloe Pomeroy but I can't get any further. Apparently Asenath Wright is born Cherry Valley.
Possibly Edward Wright was not her father? The KY is wrong elsewhere. I KNOW from other sources, R.J. Jenks married Sally Woodburn, Asenth Woodburn's sister. The PA book is wrong in the last name of Maybe if it was wrong about this, then it may be wrong about Asenath Wright's parents.

Then I find a record that an Edward Wright Jr married Cloe Pomeroy in Hampden, MA in 1772, but Asenath was supposedly born a) in Cherry Valley, NY and b) 6 years earlier. That just seems dubious.

Finally, I haven't been doing genealogy very long, but usually when I google specific people, I usually see other people's queries. This is far enough back that I would think that someone would have asked or looked into it before. This makes me think this may be the wrong road.

Are there people out there that are documented descendents of Edward Wright and Cloe Pomeroy who can confirm that Asenath DOES NOT or DOES belong to them?

BEST yet, someone knows for certain who Asenath Wright's parents are (i.e. has some actual documentation)! :)

Thanks in advance!!!!
