Its been almost a year since I posted the query about finding s female MTDNA for Chaney Wright.Since that time I have had my MTDNA done and got my brother for the YDNA.We had my husbands MTDNA and YDNA done.None of these follow the Wright YDNA or Chaneys MTDNA.I have three male cousins who could do the YDNA for the male line since they go straight back to Chaneys "husband" Isaac.I would like to have it done but can't afford it at this time. They have no interest about genealogy so I know they would not pay for it themselves.I have a great deal of interest in Chaney after hearing all the stories my Grandfather and Great Grandparents would tell about her.She must have been quite a character. My family all said she was born around Loudon Co TN and not in NC.Grandpa didn't think she was Cherokee Indian.Another group of Indians around Loudon Co was the Yuchi Indians. She did not follow the Cherokee Indian customs on how she treated her family.Maybe some day we will find out more information about her.
Best wishes
