Dear Sue,
I'm descended from Daniel Dillon whose wife was certainly named Lydia, and whose grandson identified her as a Lydia Wright. They were members of the Opeckon/Hopewell Meeting House in the 1740's. I've only just started researching Wrights, and haven't been able to connect her to the family of Quakers, James and Mary Wright, who lived in proximity to them.
I don't know anything about a Ballenger Wright, but do know the Quaker Wrights and Ballengers were connected. Two of James and Mary Wright's daughters married Ballengers in, if I remember correctly, the 1730's.
Have you investigated the possibility of Absalom Wright's ancestors having been Quakers? If the name Ballenger appears in the family, there's a good chance they were.
Also, since I didn't have time to read the book, does it mention relatives with the names of Dillon, Haworth, or Rees? Are there any mentions of an Issac or Leven Wright who lived in North Carolina?
If I can help you in any way, I'll be hglad to do so!
Always,
Lynn
