Seeking others who are researching this family. James J.Wren (father Joseph, mother Sarah Crook) was born Abt. 1819 in most likely Chester or York Co, South Carolina. He married Mary ? in Possibly Mississippi. She was born Abt. 1820 in South Carolina. Notes for James J. Wren: 1850 Census - LaFayette Co, Mississippi 1860 Census - Desha Co, Arkansas Source for children; birth dates and places are the census records. James and his family were in Mississippi by 1839 (daughter Sarah was born there). They migrated to Arkansas between 1855 and 1858 (son John was born there).
