Abilene Reporter News Abilene, Texas May 21, 1936 Succumbs to Heart Attack Snyder, May 21: W. R. “BILL” WREN, 82, retired Scurry County farmer, fell dead at his home here this morning, victim of a heart attack. Mr. Wren moved to the county 33 years ago from Lampasas County where he had lived for 31 years. He was sheriff of that count in 1892-96. He had been a staunch member of the Baptist Church for more than 50 years. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, four sons, nine grandchildren and two adopted grandchildren, GERALDINE and MAVIS SHULER of Snyder. The daughters are Mrs. W. O. MOORE of Warren, Arizona and Miss FRANKIE WREN of Abilene; sons, H. L. and LEON WREN of Snyder, BOB WREN of Big Spring and G. L. WREN of Colorado. Funeral arrangements were awaiting word from the daughter in Arizona. Notify Administrator about this message?
