Ken, Again thank you.
I speculate Andrew moved with John. Andrew (60-70 yr old male) on 1840 Franklin Co Va. census. Family folklore says Claborn (spelling on tombstone) stowed away with the Chitwoods and moved to Tn. He married his cousin Susan Matilda Chitwood and they lived out their lives in Dyer Co. In a letter to his sister Elizabeth, Claborn said that his children never met any of his brothers and sisters. I descend from Claborns son Thomas F., the only one of his children that moved from Dyer Co. Tn. I inherited most of my beginning information from a cousin who traveled a lot, researching and collecting information. Now, I am fortunate to live close to the Salt Lake City Library. Dyer Co. Tn. Web site has a lot of cemetery records and pictures for Wray, Ray, and Chitwoods. Someday I will get there.
Children of Squire Chitwood: Edmond , Stephen 1806-1889, William, Susan Matilda 1815-1890 Twins? Per tombstones Eleanor 1815-1874, Bostic, Green 1819-1880, Angeran , Leonard.1829-1880. There is a lot of research, pictures etc. on this family at McIvers Public Library in Dyersburg. Tn. Lynn
