I have Clairborne Wray Born Mar 22, 1809 Married 1836 Susan Chitwood and moved to Dyer Co Tn.
I have Hiram Wray brother born June 3 , 1807 married Agnes Paxton born 1811, Md. Hiram and Agnes Children are Mary J. B 1835 Michigan, Orson B 1837 Mi. Rebecca B 1841 Mi. Margaret B 1848 Mich. In the 1850 census Andrew and Mary lived in Berrien Co. Mi. Also Hiram, John and Elizabeth lived in Berrien Co. Mi.in 1850.
John Wray Brother Born 1813 Va. Marrried Jan 2, 1836 Francis Wright. Francis must have died as John Wray Married 2nd Ellender Abshire Jan 2, 1841. John Wray children are Lyhium Wray B 1837, Franklin Co Va. 2 Alvertus Wray B 1841 Franklin Co. Va. Anenda Wray B. 1843 Michigan. Emerich Wray B 1844 Mi. Emily Wray B 1846 Mi. Alyina Wray B 1848 Mi. Conclusion Hiram Wray moved to Mi. before 1835. John Wray moved to Mi in 1842. I also have "on the 1838 journey, Franklin Co. Va. to Berrien Springs, Mi. 584 miles walked along with their wagons and horses, John R. Webster left a record of the miles traveled and the towns and places they stopped." I do not have this record. My wife and I visited Berrien Co. Mi. in 1986 and could not find any graves of Wray people. We found the Ivan Layman family who moved with the Wrays and others from Franklin Co. Va.
We found a descendent of Emerich Wray who is Beth Williams, 6023 S. Logan St. Littleton, Colorado 80121. I wrote to her Nov 4, 1994 and received no answer. Ken Wray
