Information contained in the letters written by Thomas Wozencraft of Georgia, USA, to his family back in Wales/England contain an editor's comment re: boundaries! And confusion surrounding them.

Quoting from the editorial notes re letters Thomas wrote to his son John on 10 October 1843 in Kington, Herefordshire: "Kington was later transferred from the county of Radnor in Wales to that of Hereford in England. Wozencraft thought it was in England as he addressed his letters to Kington, Herefordshire"

I don't know how things were in England/Wales in 1843, but here in my little hometown, houses on one side of the street are in one town - and on the opposite side of the street are in yet ANOTHER town!
